About Faculty of Engineering and Technology
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was created following the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti on 20th February 2025. It is one of the four Faculties established at the inception of the University. The Faculty is positioned to play a crucial role in advancing technology, providing solutions to complex, real-world problems, creating cutting-edge tools and technologies and transforming research into reality for a sustainable and resilient society.
The Faculty will provide high-quality engineering education through teaching and research excellence. It will produce the next generation of engineers with the skills needed to lead, plan, design, construct and maintain infrastructural facilities and conduct ground breaking researches that contribute to sustainable economic development and social progress.
This will be achieved through Lecturers who have deep knowledge backed by significant experience in industry or academia in their areas of specialization with exceptional communication, organizational, critical thinking and technical skills and provision of the state of the art facilities for the training of the students. The National Universities Commission approved the takeoff of eight programmes which include:
