Biomedical Engineering (BME) stands at the fascinating intersection of medicine, biology, and engineering offering innovative solution to complex healthcare challenges. BME is not just a discipline, it is a mission to improve human health through technological advancements, from designing artificial organs to developing cutting-edge diagnostic tools. The department is envisioned to become a hub of innovation, blending medicine, biology, mechanical, electrical, computer, and computer engineering to address contemporary and future challenges in Biomedical engineering systems. It is committed to producing graduates with strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring global competitiveness and readiness to contribute to long-term technological breakthroughs. The primary focuses are: Biomechanics; Biomaterials; Bioinstrumentation and Bioimaging; Bio micro-electromechanical systems. The department runs five-year programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. The programme is equipped with the state-of-the-art teaching, laboratory and workshop facilities which are essential for training students in Biomedical Engineering. We invite you to join us.
