The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has announced Monday, May 11, 2026, as the resumption date for the commencement of academic activities for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

Recall that the university concluded its first semester examinations on Friday, April 24, 2026, after which a two-week semester break was announced to allow students rest, recuperate from the rigours of the examination period, and adequately prepare for the second semester.

In a statement made available to the press by the university’s management, students and staff were enjoined to return to campus promptly to ensure a smooth and timely continuation of the academic calendar.

The institution noted that the first semester break provided students with an opportunity to rest, reflect, and prepare for a new academic phase, urging them to resume with renewed focus, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

According to the management, lectures and other academic engagements are expected to commence immediately upon resumption, with faculties and departments already putting necessary structures in place to ensure a seamless transition into the new semester.

The university also reiterated its commitment to maintaining academic stability, innovation, and a conducive learning environment, emphasizing that all hands are on deck to sustain and build on the momentum recorded in the first semester.

Students were advised to complete all necessary registrations and comply with institutional guidelines ahead of resumption, while parents and guardians were assured of the university’s continued dedication to the welfare and academic success of its students.

With preparations in top gear, the university community looks forward to a productive and impactful second semester.
