The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, has called on Muslim faithful to embrace the virtues of faith, selfless service, and unity as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Aribisala made the call in a goodwill message to members of the university community on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He noted that Eid-el-Kabir serves as a reminder of the enduring values of obedience, humility, compassion, and devotion, which are essential not only for spiritual growth but also for fostering peaceful coexistence and national development.

The Vice-Chancellor urged members of the university community to reflect on these principles and uphold unity, tolerance, discipline, and selfless service in their daily lives.

“As we celebrate this sacred season, I encourage members of our university community to continue to uphold the principles of unity, tolerance, discipline, and selfless service in our collective pursuit of academic excellence and institutional growth,” he said.

Aribisala expressed optimism that the season would bring peace, joy, and abundant blessings to all, while strengthening the bond of unity within the institution and the wider society.

He also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting values that support excellence, service, and the common good.

The Vice-Chancellor wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

“Eid Mubarak! Barka da Sallah!” he added.
