ADMISSION INTO FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, IYIN-EKITI (FUTES-IYIN)

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), Ekiti State, for the 2026/2027 session that the admission exercise has commenced.

All admissions will be processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

The requirements and conditions for admission are itemised below:

1.    Candidates must have attained a minimum of 16 years by the September 30, 2026;

2.    Candidates must have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) held earlier this year;

3.    The minimum UTME mark for admission to any programmes in FUTES-IYIN is a JAMB score of 160. However, some programmes require UTME score of 180. Candidates with JAMB score below the minimum 160 are not eligible to apply to FUTES.

4.    All candidates must have obtained a minimum of 5 'O' Level credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in WASSCE, NECO and NABTEB, or 6 'O' level credits at two sittings, which should be uploaded on the University admission portal.

5.    Candidates who wish to change their Institution of choice to FUTES-IYIN, should apply for a Change of Institution through the JAMB website;

6.    Visit FUTES-IYIN Admission portal at https://portal.futes.edu.ng/apply and read all registration guidelines and instructions carefully, before proceeding to register.

7.    Candidates who could not find their details as FIRST Choice on the University Admission portal but willing to change their institution and make FUTES-IYIN their first choice, may proceed to apply using the "OTHER" Choice option on the University Admission portal. However, such candidates must complete the change of institution to FUTES-IYIN on the JAMB CAPS before the closure of the Post UTME screening registration;

8.    Direct Entry candidates who applied for admission to FUTES-IYIN should also apply for Post UTME screening. Such candidates should request their institution to forward their academic transcript on or before September 30, 2026, directly to:

9.    Candidates for Direct Entry should possess a National Diploma not below Upper Credit or A’Level passes in three (3) relevant subjects.

10. Interested candidates are required to pay a Post UTME Screening Fee of two thousand naira (N2,000.00) and a Portal access Fee of three thousand naira (N3,000.00) to Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti through the REMITA platform on the University's Admission Portal;

METHOD OF APPLICATION

      i.         Candidates must possess five (5) ‘0’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two (2) sittings. However, some programmes may also have specific requirements. Please visit the University website for more details.

    ii.         A valid email address is required to sign up for the activation token. If you don't have a valid email address or can't remember the password to your email account, please create a new one with either GMail or Yahoo for FREE!

  iii.         After Sign Up, an activation link will be sent to the supplied email address. You may be required to log in to your email account and activate your account before you can proceed. Please check your SPAM folder if you do not receive the confirmation email in your Inbox. UNACTIVATED ACCOUNTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED AFTER 48 HOURS!

  iv.         Check and fill out your information meticulously and correctly in the subsequent forms presented and submit as appropriate. You will be required to upload a passport photograph image of yourself which should not be more than 100 Kilobyte (Kb) in size.

NOTE: You cannot change the uploaded passport photograph throughout your stay in the University.

    v.         You are liable for any incorrect or incomplete information submitted during the registration.

  vi.         If you run into any hitch while completing your form or any other portal-related issues, contact the Support Centre.

11. Final screening of all admitted candidates will be done by the University and candidates will be notified of their aggregate scores;
