The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin-Ekiti, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, has reaffirmed the University Management’s commitment to delivering infrastructure projects that meet approved standards, specifications, and timelines.
Aribisala stated this during another round of on-site inspection of ongoing projects at the University’s permanent site, where he was accompanied by other principal officers of the institution.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the exercise forms part of the Management’s continuous oversight and hands-on leadership approach, aimed at independently assessing the pace of work, quality of execution, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
He stressed that infrastructure development at FUTES would not be driven by speed alone, but by adherence to quality, durability, and long-term institutional needs.
“We are deliberate about how projects are executed at FUTES. Every infrastructure must meet approved standards and deliver value to the University community. This is why we conduct regular inspections to ensure that what is being done aligns with our vision for a modern and functional university,” Prof. Aribisala said.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that regular on-site inspections enable the University Management to identify gaps early, engage directly with project handlers, and take timely decisions that will prevent delays or compromise in quality.
He added that such proactive monitoring is critical for a growing institution laying its foundational structures.
According to him, FUTES has continued to record visible progress across its permanent site, reflecting the Management’s commitment to building a solid physical and academic environment that supports effective teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.
