𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐒-𝐈𝐘𝐈𝐍 𝐕𝐂 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, has been honoured with a Distinguished Leadership Award by the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti.
The award was presented by the Faculty of Engineering, EKSU, during the induction and oath-taking ceremony for the graduating class of 2024/2025 academic session into the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
According to the organisers, the award recognises Prof. Aribisala’s visionary leadership, strategic direction, and exceptional commitment to the engineering profession, as well as his contributions to advancing global standards within the field.
The Faculty noted that the FUTES Vice-Chancellor has distinguished himself as a leader whose impact transcends institutional boundaries, earning him respect within academic and professional engineering circles.
The recognition also highlights his role in shaping future engineers through mentorship, policy direction, and sustained advocacy for excellence in engineering education.
Prof. Aribisala, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (FNIWE), Nigerian Academy of Engineering (FAEng), and other professional bodies, has continued to play a significant role in strengthening engineering practice and academic development in Nigeria.
