The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN) has received a major boost to its academic resources with the donation of 300 titles of diverse textbooks from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), strengthening its commitment to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community service.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, reacting to the development, highlighted the central role of the University Library as the engine room of intellectual development, noting that the donation comes at a critical stage in the institution’s growth.
He reaffirmed Management’s dedication to building a strong academic foundation anchored on quality and global best practices.
The Management also expressed appreciation to TETFund for its continued support, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
The University Librarian, Prof. Isaac Oluwadare Busayo, who received the textbooks on behalf of the University, noted that the materials will be properly catalogued, classified, and integrated into the system to ensure easy access and maximum utilization by both students, members of staff, and researchers.
This milestone is a reflection of the University’s steady progress in strengthening academic infrastructure and deepening strategic partnerships that support knowledge, innovation, and research excellence.
