ADMISSION INTO FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, IYIN-EKITI (FUTES-IYIN)

 This is to inform all interested candidates that admission into Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), Ekiti State, for the 2025/2026 session that the University Portal has been REOPENED from Monday, 3 November to 12 noon, Thursday, November 6,2025.

 All admissions will be processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

The requirements and conditions for admission are itemised below:

1.    Candidates must have attained a minimum of 16 years by September 30, 2025;

2.    Candidates must have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) held earlier this year;

3.    The minimum UTME mark for admission to any programme in FUTES is a JAMB score of 160. This may be programme specific. Candidates with JAMB score below the minimum are not eligible to apply to FUTES.

4.    All candidates must have obtained a minimum of 5 ‘O’ Level credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in WASCE, NECO or 6 ‘O’ level credits at two sittings, which should be uploaded on the University admission portal.

• Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering
• Mining Engineering
• Building Technology – Requires O level Geography
• Estate Management – Requires O level Economics, Geography
• Environmental Science and Management – Requires O Level Geography
•  Industrial Design
• Quantity Surveying
• Surveying & Geoinformatics
• Urban and Regional Planning
• Forestry and Environmental Management
• Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology

6.    Interested candidates should apply for a Change of Institution through the JAMB web site;

7       Visit FUTES Admission portal at https://portal.futes.edu.ng and read all registration guidelines and instructions carefully, before proceeding to register.

8.    Candidates who could not find their details as FIRST Choice on the University Admission portal but willing to change their institution and make FUTES their first choice, may proceed to apply using the "OTHER" Choice option on the University Admission portal. However, such candidates must complete the change of institution to FUTES on the JAMB CAPS before the closure of the Post UTME screening registration;

9.    Interested candidates are required to pay a Post UTME Screening Fee of two thousand naira (N2,000.00) and a Portal access Fee of three thousand naira (N3,000.00) to Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti through the REMITA platform on the University’s Admission Portal;

10.  Final screening of all admitted candidates will be done by the University and candidates will be notified of their aggregate scores;

11. Only candidates who applied for the available programmes would be considered for admission as programmes not listed above has been fully subscribed.
